Lou Biffis Obituary

In addition to being a successful businessman, Lou Biffis was a visionary who established the Nottawasaga Inn Resort and Conference Centre as a major destination for travellers visiting the Alliston region. His adventure started in 1967 when he led the charge to hold a liquor plebiscite and was able to secure enough signatures in less than six months to make the petition legal. After only a few weeks, development on the resort began thanks to this victory in November of that same year. When it was opened in 1968, the Nottawasaga Inn had 40 guest rooms, a dining area, a coffee shop, and a space for banquets. Biffis expanded the resort’s attractiveness to both locals and tourists in 1977 by adding an international-sized football pitch, proving that it was more than just a lodging place.

Lou Biffis was a community leader who devoted his life to several humanitarian endeavours. He was notably a longtime supporter of the Canada 911 Ride Foundation, demonstrating his steadfast dedication to having a positive influence. His unexpected passing is all the more tragic because of the lasting impact his kind attitude had on everyone he came into contact with. Lou Biffis was a very important member of the Biffis family and the community, and his demise is currently being mourned by everyone. His exact cause of death is still unknown as of right now, and no more information is available.
